ETM™ is an excellent general transport medium for enteric bacteria 
(including Campylobacter jejuni).  ETM™ has been shown to improve 
C. difficile toxin (A & B) detection (cytotoxin assay & EIA).  ETM™ 
supports SLT's (E. coli O157:H7) by EIA and Giardia lamblia and Crypto-
sporidium EIA and IFA.   ETM™ contains a pH indicator to detect production 
of acid if overgrowth of commensal organisms occurs.
  
Using Alpha-Tec Systems' ETM™ significantly extends the time during 
which a sample has diagnostic value by maintaining the bio balance present 
at the time of collection.  ETM™ is a unique proprietary formulation that 
provides all the benefits of standard Cary Blair transport media as well as 
allowing for C. difficile testing.
