Traditional parasite concentration procedures have always been limited
in that they do not recover protozoan trophozoites or Strongyloides spp.
Alpha-Tec Systems has improved upon traditional concentration methods
enabling laboratories to recover and identify a greater number and wider
variety of parasites from concentrated patient samples. Using
Proto-fix™ CLR, combined with Consed™ CLR, both permanent stains
and wet preps can be performed from the concentrated pellet with minimal
loss of trophozoites and almost no distortion of parasite morphology during
the concentration procedure.
